Father timeHappy New Year everyone! It’s almost time that we head back to class…So I thought I’d post an article from this Sunday’s New York Times. Although there is a lot of opinion in this article, I think there is some useful review here. Specifically, what are the strengths and weaknesses of free market economies? Or, What do free markets do well, and what don’t they do well. I think it would be good for you to post your thoughts for this discussion.

While on break, you should take the opportunity to read the Karl Marx chapter from The Worldly Philosophers. In addition, you might want to get started on Chapter 25 – Savings and Investment.
